Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?

A great passion of mine is reading. Make me a cup of coffee, hand me a great book, and I will be the happiest little cookie in the jar. I fly through books, especially if it’s a great piece of lit that I can sink my teeth into. I am always on the lookout for great pieces and I am so excited to share some of my favorites ever!

For my first review I had to share one of my go to books! When I am feeling down or just need a great laugh, or pat on the back reminding me that a mega star understands the fear of: is everyone hanging out without me? I turn to Mindy Kaling- she is such a gift to the world! If you haven’t read her books yet you most certainly have to! Is everyone hanging out without me? Is my favorite work of hers. I was actually quite hesitant to read this book; it wasn’t my normal type of book. I had only seen a few office episodes and only heard of Mindy’s show once. But I have to admit I am Mindy’s biggest fan ever! She is my spirit animal for sure and I will constantly ask myself: What Would Mindy Do? She shares her witty personality, and her life story through a series of essays. Each essay focuses on something different such as her childhood, college days, and even how she became the mega star she is today! This is a must read, and I encourage everyone to have a dose of Mindy in their life! As I read through this book for the 100th time I have had, so many literally laugh out loud moments while reading. (Which is very awkward when you’re sitting in restaurants, the library, or in a Starbucks.) Whatever you do this weekend, whether its lounging, or doing everything you can to meet deadlines, pick up a copy, and make a new friend named: Mindy- she will most definitely hang with you even if everyone else is hanging out without you.
